Alzheimer’s disease affects twice as many women as men, even adjusting for their longer lifespans. However, brain health research and recommendations specifically for women have lagged behind. That’s why Dr. Lisa Mosconi, Director of the Women’s Brain Initiative at Weill Cornell, has made it her life’s work to study the female brain and empower women with the information they need to maximize their cognitive health. In her new book, The XX Brain, Dr. Mosconi explores the groundbreaking science of the female brain and provides women with a roadmap for reducing their risk of dementia. On October 15, Dr. Mosconi joined Aspen Ideas: Health for a conversation about the latest research on women's brain health and actionable steps for optimizing your brain power, with Natalie Morales of NBC’s TODAY Show.
